Renter qualifications

Rates are for renters 21 years or older. A valid drivers license and a major credit card in the renter’s own name must be presented at time of pick up. It is our policy to hold reservations for up to two hours beyond the scheduled arrival time. If arrival is delayed beyond that time, we will make our best efforts to honor the reservation. If you experience delays, please contact the rental location so that they can make their best effort to extend your reservation. Any adjustments or changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate.

Payment options

This location accepts AmEx, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. No other cards accepted. All vehicles require a $500 deposit taken at pickup on credit card. Debit card requires $500 deposit taken at pickup. If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance if possible at no charge. For Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance there may be a one day rental charge depending on the circumstances.. Discounted Multiple day rates are valid for full term only. Early Returns will be charged regular daily rate.

Young drivers and additional drivers

No charge for additional drivers.

Geographic restrictions

Vehicles are restricted in the United States to West of the Mississippi and Western Canada. Unlimited mileage not available. Vehicles are never permitted to travel into Mexico. Only Durangos, Suburbans and Trucks may be used for towing, within the manufacturers weight limits

Same as Air Arriving customers.

Shuttle service

Rugged Rental is the ACE vehicle provider in Salt Lake City. ACE Rent a Car is a short shuttle ride from the terminal. Upon arrival, please call 801-977-9111 for shuttle service.

After hours drop-off

- Replace the fuel in the vehicle. - Proceed to the Salt Lake International Airport (just off of I-80). - Enter the Economy Parking area (left lane before the terminal). - Push the button on the machine to get a parking ticket. - Park your car and leave the parking ticket and the keys locked inside the vehicle. - Note the parking row and call us at 801-977-9111. - Choose option 2 and tell us your name and the row where you parked. - There is a free shuttle from Economy Parking to the airport terminals. - We will retrieve the vehicle when we open and call you if there are any additional charges.
