Renter qualifications

Rates are for renters 25 years or older. A valid drivers license and a major credit card in the renter’s own name must be presented at time of pick up. It is our policy to hold reservations for up to two hours beyond the scheduled arrival time. If arrival is delayed beyond that time, we will make our best efforts to honor the reservation. If you experience delays, please contact the rental location so that they can make their best effort to extend your reservation. Any adjustments or changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate.

Payment options

Major Credit Cards Accepted MasterCard, Diners Club, AmEx & Visa. No other cards accepted. Debit Cards Not Accepted. Discounted Multiple day rates are valid for full term only. Early Returns will be charged regular daily rate.

Young drivers and additional drivers

Additional drivers fee 1.00nzd/day Young Drivers No additional charge for drivers age 21-24. No renters under 21 years of age.

Geographic restrictions

Off Road Restriction: Vehicles cannot be driven on Skippers Canyon Road in Queenstown or on any beaches. Vehicles are never permitted to be used for towing.

Local renter requirements

Local Renters No additional restrictions. Same as Air Arriving customers.

Shuttle service

ACE Tourist Rentals is the ACE vehicle provider in New Zealand. Proceed to counter located in the airport terminal on the left towards the baggage collection area. Call 0800 00 22 03 for assistance.
