Renter qualifications

Rates are for renters 25 years or older. A valid drivers license and a major credit card in the renter’s own name must be presented at time of pick up. Renter must provide proof of transferable collision coverage valid in Canada at pickup.

Payment options

Credit Cards This location accepts AmEx, Diners Club, Eurocard, MasterCard & Visa. No other cards accepted. Minimum available limit must be 500.00 CAD on major credit card. Debit Cards are not accepted.

Young drivers and additional drivers

Additional Drivers Additional driver fee 10.00 CAD/day. Young DriversRenter age 21-24 will be subject to a 15.00 CAD/day underage surcharge. No drivers under the age of 21 permitted.

Geographic restrictions

Travel restricted to three maritime provinces only, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. No US travel allowed.

Local renter requirements

Local Renters No additional restrictions. Same as Air Arriving customers.

Shuttle service

Discount Car and Truck Rental is our ACE vehicle provider in Sydney. ACE Rent a Car is a short shuttle ride from the terminal. A Discount representative should be on sight at the tourist information booth inside terminal if not phone 902-563-2807 OR 902-578-4608 for shuttle.
