Arecibo Observatory
  The Arecibo Observatory is the world's largest radio/radar telescope. Scientists from all parts of the world come to this national observatory to carry out research projects. Open to the public for self-guided tours. The observatory was developed by the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center and it is operated by Cornell University.
 
Coliseo de Puerto Rico
  Coliseo de Puerto Rico, which is managed by the SMG organisation, is a multipurpose arena. This massive venue can easily accommodate up to 18,000 people, and with a state-of-the-art sound system, lighting and other facilities, it is no wonder that concerts, NBA games, trade shows, theater events and family shows are held here.
 
Estadio Hiram Bithorn
  The largest baseball stadium in Puerto Rico is located in the heart of the metropolitan area. This sports facility has artificial turf, private air conditioned boxes as well as fully equipped booths for media coverage, ample parking, conveniently located restrooms, and built-in concessions.
 
Nuyorican Cafe
  One of the hottest spots in old San Juan, the Nuyorican Café is a great place to hang out. It is home to the new and up coming artists. The music scene here is worth a mention. You will find that this café sells records of the artists who perform live on a daily basis! They also host their own jazz festival of late.
 
Teatro Tapia
  This gracious old theater has been appropriately named after local playwright, Alejandro Tapia y Rivera. If you plan to take in a play, do it in style here in central Old San Juan. The building's balconies, lobby and interior are simply beautiful. In addition to traditional Broadway plays, the theater's performance schedule includes, operas, ballets and concerts throughout the year.
