The Arch of Poseidon, or simply "El Arco," is Cabo's most famous landmark. The towering, 200-foot rock formation was created by ages of whistling winds, pounding surf and shifting sands. Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, the area can be accessed only by boat.

As you gaze out to the azure sea you will see the peaceful horseshoe shaped beach with sand the color and consistency of pink rice. Relatively secluded, Bahía Santa María is a protected marine sanctuary, so bring along a bag of bread or tortillas and feed the multi-colored creatures of the deep.

Be sure to take a day trip to this thriving village, 42 miles north of Cabo. As you near Todos Santos, the deserts surrounding Cabo give way to green trees and lush grass. There are also numerous restaurants and cafes where you can find of a tasty meal, as well as hot dog and taco vendors.

Tucked away by the Hotel Twin Dolphin, Playa Las Viudas seems to almost always be secluded. Even if there are people around, you might never know due to the beaches unique little coves and volcanic rock formations. This is the perfect place to sun yourself for an afternoon and have a picnic.
