The Centennial Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This building in Huron, South Dakota is more commonly known as the Old Stone Church. The structure was built in 1887 of huge granite boulders from a farm northeast of Huron.

The Dakotaland Museum, which was established in 1960 as the South Dakota State Fair Pioneer Museum, is dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of Huron and Beadle County. More than 5000 artifacts are currently on display and thousands are welcomed each year.

The Pyle House Museum was the home of Gladys Pyle, the first elected woman U.S. senator and South Dakota Secretary of State. It is a well preserved example of Queen Anne architecture. Built in 1894, the home has original oak woodwork, fixtures and leaded and stained glass windows.

The World's Largest Pheasant |

The world's largest pheasant is located on Hwy. 14 East near the Dakota Inn in Huron, South Dakota. Steel and fiberglass have been molded to create a 28-foot, 22-ton pheasant. From the tip of its feathered tail to the beak, it spans 40 feet.
